Odessa Circus is one of the oldest in the world. It was opened in 1894 on the eve of the hundred-year jubilee of Odessa. The circus has an unusual building. It is peculiar because of the distance from the ring to the cupola, which is 22 metres, while the standard is 18 metres. |

| One more peculiarity, due to which Odessa circus is often called an "iron circus", is the fact that its shell is made out of German metal, the composition of which is unknown. However, it never rusts and is not susceptible to welding. |
